Heather Seybolt directs, shoots and edits beautiful film for a broad range of clients - everything from high-end event documentaries with global reach to bespoke forward leaning start-up promos.

Known for her long-term tour and behind the scene documentation of popular musicians, she has created commercials, epk’s and art installations with the same carefully crafted aesthetic.

heather has filmed, edited, and directed for artists including Janet Jackson, Melissa Etheridge, and Donovan. she is hands down the best secret keeper in Los Angeles having documented personal special events for ‘a list’ celebrities when no press was allowed. Her diverse body of work includes music videos, promos, press, behind the scenes documentaries, commercials, short films, special events, non-profit EPKs, concerts, supplemental videos for art exhibitions, features and documentary films. Her work has taken her from shooting post-earthquake in Haiti to behind-the-scenes fashion shoots for Harper’s Bazzar in Abu Dhabi.

Heather's fluidity of camera and editing reflect her years as a dancer. She studied with NYC Ballet’s school, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Ballet West. Fun fact – Heather toured the world with Paul McCartney as a dancer performing in Red Square, the Colosseum in Rome and on the Via Dei Fori Imperiali for an audience of 200,000.

Heather is a graduate of Duke University (BA) and the Art Institute of Chicago (MFA). She studied with Yvonne Rainer (SAIC) and Alex Harris at the Center for Documentary Studies and many other creative artists and theoreticians all of who’s influences are invaluable.
